Job Title: Palliative Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Palliative Care Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate patient care and support to individuals and families in need.

Job Summary:

The Palliative Care Nurse will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide consultation and clinical support to patients and families. You will be responsible for screening and prioritizing consultation activities, collaborating with the team, and providing individual and group education and training to healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and clinical support to patients and families in palliative care
  • Screen and prioritize consultation activities
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for healthcare providers
  • Conduct individual and group education sessions on palliative care
  • Develop resources and education materials as needed
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Three (3) years' recent related clinical nursing experience in palliative care, including one (1) year experience in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Valid BC Driver's License
