Job Title: Mechanical/Welding Inspector

The Mechanical/Welding Inspector will be responsible for conducting quality assurance inspections during the fabrication of equipment at vendor shops. The inspector will ensure the quality and compliance of mechanical systems as per the project scope.

The scope of inspection includes visual welding inspection, dimensional inspection, test witness, documentation review, and issuing surveillance reports and NCRs (if applicable).

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in inspection work, with certifications such as CWB Level II or III, and API 510 and NACE certification as a strong asset.

The candidate must be proficient in using computer software, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate strong time management skills and attention to detail.

The pay range is $55 to $60/hour depending on experience, and the work schedule is ad hoc as required by the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assurance inspections during fabrication
  • Ensure quality and compliance of mechanical systems
  • Review documentation and issue surveillance reports and NCRs
  • Collaborate with vendors and clients to resolve inspection-related issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection work
  • CWB Level II or III certification
  • API 510 and NACE certification (strong asset)
  • Proficiency in computer software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
