About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Media Relations to join our Corporate Communications team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing company-wide media relations and developing strategic communications plans to drive positive earned media coverage for Rogers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts and stakeholders to secure positive media coverage for Rogers.
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to drive media relations and issues management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communications strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify trends and opportunities for Rogers.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the media landscape and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or a related field.
  • Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and ability to develop and implement effective communications strategies.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong project management and organization skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Results-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with team members and stakeholders.
