Senior Manager, Media Relations and Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Media Relations to join our Corporate Communications team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing company-wide media relations and developing strategic communications plans to drive positive earned media coverage for Rogers.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts and stakeholders to secure positive media coverage for Rogers.
- Develop and implement effective media relations strategies to drive earned media coverage across traditional, digital, and social channels.
- Collaborate with business and company function leads to research and respond to media requests, developing briefs and strategic messaging as needed.
- Monitor media outlets, analyze industry trends, and provide insights to inform communications strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with team members and key internal and external stakeholders to drive business results.
- 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, with a strong understanding of the media and digital landscape.
- Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, political science, journalism, or a related field.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal communications skills.
- Strong project management and organization skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Results-driven, creative, and collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with team members and leaders across large organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and other communications tools.
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
- Experience in the telecommunications sector an asset.
