Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Academic Excellence to lead our teaching and learning practices, drive academic excellence, and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning Practice Development: Develop and implement high standards of teaching and learning, including innovative practices, to improve student academic achievement and accelerate skill development.
  • Partner School Guidance: Monitor and analyze student performance, conduct diagnostics, and develop effective strategies to accelerate the student learning process and improve learning outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Curriculum and Teacher Development departments to develop innovative practices and solutions to advance community-level teaching and learning effectiveness.
  • Curriculum Development and Review: Conduct regular reviews and reflections on Rosedale's curriculum, teacher development, and academic operations to develop insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Advocate Rosedale's academic excellence to various stakeholders through presentations, meetings, conferences, and speeches.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in IB education at the K-12 level, with department head or lead teacher experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in IB curriculum, teaching and learning, with a professional methodology and mindset on academic excellence.
  • Proven track record of success in developing methodologies and practices to improve teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of teaching management and academic measurements in schools.
  • Proficient skills in large-scale learning data analysis, insight development, and reporting.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • University degree.
