Job Overview

We are seeking a Safety Health Lead to join our team at Ledcor Construction, Inc. This role is responsible for applying professional safety and health practices on site and providing advice to operations and clients on safety matters.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years' experience in industrial construction or a related industry, with relevant safety experience. They should have an in-depth understanding of occupational health and safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert advice on safety management systems and monitor compliance with jurisdictional regulations.
  2. Coordinate and complete safe work procedures, hazard assessments, safety inspections, focus audits, and incident investigations.
  3. Verify compliance with leading and lagging indicators, including subcontractors.
  4. Conduct HS&E orientations and support project toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  5. Develop Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practice documents.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrated intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn various software systems.
  2. Attention to detail with accurate proofreading and editing skills.
  3. Proven ability to communicate persuasively and influence stakeholders across all levels of project hierarchy.
  4. Valid driver's license with a clean abstract required.
  5. Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements.

Working Conditions

This is a site-based position in Metro Vancouver and Langley, BC, supporting our infrastructure division. Some weekend shifts may be required.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
