About the Role


We're seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers at Renewable Energy Systems, a leading independent renewable energy company.


The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with experience in the renewable energy sector. They will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, developing and implementing engineering solutions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead a team of engineers to deliver design and engineering management services to all markets and technologies within Renewable Energy Systems.
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to meet the business needs, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and programme requirements are met.
  • Ensure team capabilities and resources are managed to meet business needs, and maintain a thorough appreciation of technology as applied to RES projects.
  • Develop and maintain team management systems and processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with business needs.
  • Provide risk mitigation to support effective management of risk exposure across the RES Group.
  • Coordinate best practice across markets and business units in the RES Group.

Requirements



  • Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles and their application to the renewable energy sector.
  • Thorough appreciation of renewable energy technologies and their application to RES projects.
  • Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of cross-functional project requirements and priorities.
  • Knowledge of UK CDM Regulations (and national equivalent in other countries).
