Job Summary

FLINT Corp. is seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our Fort McMurray Machine Shop team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and crafting precision parts to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpreting blueprints and crafting precision parts to exact specifications.
  • Commanding cutting-edge equipment, including conventional lathes and mills, grinders, and portable machining tools.
  • Taking on challenging tasks like line boring, flange facing, and cold cutting.
  • Exercising your creative skills to layout, measure, and mark materials for precision cutting.
  • Tackling a diverse range of field machining assignments as they arise.

Requirements

  • The grit to thrive in dynamic field conditions.
  • Experience in line boring.
  • Experience running CNC machines.
  • A knack for sizing up and measuring with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Proficient in both conventional lathe and mill operations.
  • A CSO certification or a desire to obtain one.
  • A Machinist Journeyperson certificate.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
