FLINT is actively recruiting a line boring Machinist for our Fort McMurray Shop.

  What would you be doing?

Interpreting blueprints and crafting precision parts to exact specifications. Commanding cutting-edge equipment, including conventional lathes and mills, grinders, and portable machining tools. Taking on challenging tasks like line boring, flange facing, and cold cutting. Exercising your creative skills to layout, measure, and mark materials for precision cutting. Tackling a diverse range of field machining assignments as they arise. Opportunity for fieldwork.

Does this sound like you?

The grit to thrive in dynamic field conditions. Experience in line boring. Experience running CNC machines. A knack for sizing up and measuring with pinpoint accuracy. Proficient in both conventional lathe and mill operations. A CSO certification or a desire to obtain one. A Machinist Journeyperson certificate. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
