At YMM Aviation, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Machinist to join our team as a Precision Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machines to perform repetitive machining operations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in precision manufacturing. As a Precision Operations Specialist, you will work with our experienced team to ensure that all machined parts meet our high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, including boring machines, filing machines, surface grinders, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpieces into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for CNC machine tools.
  • Clean and maintain your workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in precision manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
