Manufacturing Process Engineer

At Masco Canada Limited, we are seeking an experienced Intermediate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production floor team, you will be responsible for managing the production floor processes and equipment, ensuring that they are designed and built to meet safety standards, labour utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement new and modified manufacturing processes by researching, designing, testing, and conferring with equipment vendors as required.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for waste elimination and business cost-savings opportunities.
- Utilize data collection to make informed decisions and provide daily production support and troubleshooting as required.
- Design and implement new tooling as required and develop standard operating procedures and assist in training.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
- Coordinate prototype and production runs through new program launches and support the Engineering Change System through analyzing and approving changes.
- Support PPAP runs as required and assist in the creation of PFMEA, control plans, and other APQP / stage gate related tasks.
- Possess an engineering degree or diploma and P. Eng would be an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Some PLC knowledge and programming is an asset, as well as troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic prints.
- Robotic experience is an asset, as is CNC G-Code experience.
- Good project and time management skills with experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong 2D layout and 3D CAD experience, Autocad Inventor is preferred.
- Ability to lead and support cross-functional teams and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with a variety of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, torque applications, fabrication, robotic applications, and part assembly.
