Radiological Technologist Position

The Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Perform a range of general duty radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and radiation protection practices.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
- Prepare patients for examination, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintain the cleanliness of examination rooms.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, contributing to a safe and effective work environment.
- Perform various clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work procedures, radiation protection practices, and evidence-based practice related to designated modalities.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including radiographic and computerized imaging equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
