Radiologic Technologist

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and working collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all general duty radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures consistent with established standards, procedures, radiation protection practices, and protocols.
- Complete procedures using appropriate equipment, labels permanent records, maintains and updates records in RIS/PACS, and checks resultant images for technical quality.
- Ensure relevant clinical data is collected for the procedures requested by providing documentation of individualized patient care and recording history and clinical information.
- Prepare contrast agents required for examinations by methods such as filling syringes and mixing barium solutions as required.
- Monitor patient care and safety by ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
