Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and working collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and radiation protection practices.
  2. Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
  3. Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
  4. Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures and processes.
  5. Clean and test equipment, perform quality control tests, and minor adjustments as needed.
  6. Perform clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
  7. Participate in the instruction of employees and/or students, assisting with departmental orientations and in-service presentations.
  8. Participate in approved research and special projects in collaboration with supervisor and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Qualifications

Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is required. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
