About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our Energy Management portfolio, you will be responsible for leading the design, strategy, and management of Social Housing customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to meet the energy needs of Social Housing customers.
  • Manage successful solution development, implementation, and execution of medium to high-risk and complex activities and partnerships.
  • Handle budget management and reporting, working closely with external industry and government stakeholders.
  • Independently manage product offers and other strategic initiatives in support of achieving BC Hydro business objectives related to energy efficiency and electrification.
  • Represent BC Hydro in discussions with external stakeholders, government agencies, non-profit organizations, consultants, and other partners.
  • Maintain familiarity with federal, provincial, and other funding programs that may provide funding support for activities in the Social Housing sector.
  • Represent Product Management in cross-organizational working groups, project teams, and regulatory filings.
  • Be responsible for business planning and reporting and ensure performance targets are achieved.
  • Understand, investigate, and analyze customer, product, and market trends and issues related to customer energy management solutions.
  • Manage annual budgets and liaise with cost centre managers regarding budgetary issues.
  • Run regular and ad hoc project update meetings and design workshops for stakeholder communication.
  • Conduct strategic reviews of products, policies, vendors, and processes using data analytics and customer experience.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal and external clients/stakeholders.
  • Participate in regulatory proceedings, including drafting and coordinating stakeholder engagement materials.
  • Develop briefing notes, analyses, and reports for senior management and the government.
  • Establish and lead multi-disciplinary teams to execute customer solutions.
  • Conduct gap analysis to determine opportunities within the product management portfolio.
  • Provide feedback direction to operational teams to resolve complex customer enquiries/escalations.
  • Coach and manage junior team members' work as required.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in commerce, business management, marketing, communications, or a related discipline and 8 or more years related to operations, communications, program management, or project management.
  • Familiarity with and experience working in the Social Housing sector.
  • A proven ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures.
  • A solid understanding of the role that Energy Efficiency and Electrification solutions can play in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration and ability to influence others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with BC Hydro's customers and business practices.
  • Familiarity with BC Hydro's regulatory processes and principles.
