Job Summary

Armour Transportation Systems is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team at our Edinburgh Drive, Moncton, New Brunswick location. This role involves organizing, planning, coordinating, and communicating the efficient movement of equipment and freight while providing exceptional service to our customers.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can multitask, meet deadlines, and lead a group or teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with all departments, terminals, and customers to remove barriers in the movement of equipment and freight.
  • Provide clear communication to drivers, ensuring they are equipped with necessary paperwork and information to complete their job successfully.
  • Assist internal teams as needed, guaranteeing special circumstances for both planning and revenue are captured.
  • Coordinate equipment utilization and maintenance, including looking for opportunities to reduce empty miles.
  • Attend pre-planned meetings, training sessions, and events (i.e., transition meetings, daily review, safety meetings, and employee events).
  • Work with drivers to plan vacation coverage each week and update supervisors on the visibility plan.
Working Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work 2-3-3-2 - 12 hour shifts (9:00 am - 9:00 pm)
  • Ability to handle a high volume of customer and driver communication, including via satellite and phone.
Qualifications
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make analytical decisions.
  • Ability to lead a group or groups and communicate effectively with these groups.
  • Able to analyze situations, identify problems or conflicts, and negotiate win-win scenarios.
Technical Skills
  • Experience and understanding of the TruckMate system are considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to prepare reports in Word and Excel.
  • Strong typing and computer skills.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
