Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and physically demanding Labourer to assist our glaziers in the installation and maintenance of glass products. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, as well as performing routine maintenance work and cleaning equipment. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment to a 30 to 35 hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials with a maximum weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and follow safety procedures
  • Clean and maintain equipment, as well as the immediate work area
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass as required
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and processes
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Physically demanding and able to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Good hand-eye co-ordination and manual dexterity
