About the Role

Boston Scientific's Access Solutions Site is seeking a strategic project management professional to join its PMO team and work on transseptal access products. In this role, you will manage the product lifecycles from product launch to end of life, ensuring critical therapies and systems reach patients and clinicians in support of Boston Scientific's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to the successful completion of project goals, ensuring scope, schedules, costs, and risks are properly planned, resourced, and managed.
  • Develop business cases with cross-functional teams, including clear patient benefits, sound return on investment estimates, and project cost budgeting.
  • Support teams with all project activities, oversee risks and technical challenges, and evaluate potential solutions and their impact on the project and business.
  • Create and manage detailed implementation plans outlining multidisciplinary work plans, timelines, roles, and resources for various projects.
  • Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing contingency plans.
  • Communicate project status on a consistent basis by preparing standard status reports and participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
  • Resolve project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
  • Drive results by acting with speed and agility, eliminating blockers, and advancing areas that need improvement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead project phases and franchise reviews preparation, in alignment with the BSC Quality Management System requirements.
  • Consult with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring more junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in an Engineering, Science, or Commerce-related field, accompanied by a technical background.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience as a project manager or in a cross-functional leadership role, considered in lieu of direct project management experience.
  • 3+ years leading cross-functional teams through all project phases, from ideation through project completion/closure, with proven benefits to the business.
  • Proven experience planning and monitoring the financial performance of the project, including variable expenses, CAPEX, headcount, COGS, and margin.
  • Proven experience in managing projects using waterfall, agile, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, domestically and/or internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization within a variety of departments and business units.
