General Duty CT Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Duty CT Technologist to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing assigned diagnostic duties in accordance with your scope of training and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient/resident care and technical, administrative, and operational support functions required as part of the multi-disciplinary team approach of service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.
  • Work under pressure and maintain confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position.
  • Perform duties as described and rotate through various workstations as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Must have completed or presently be registered in courses in Cross Sectional Anatomy and/or Computed Tomography, working towards completion of CAMRT Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC).
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Must maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have at least two (2) years' experience as a General Duty Radiography Technologist in a large Radiography/Computed Tomography department.
Working Conditions
  • Lifts and moves patients.
  • Pushes and pulls heavy portable machines.
  • Stoops and bends.
  • Working shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  • Participating in standby and callback duty may be required.
