Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and assisting radiologists, other physicians, and senior technologists in the performance of routine and non-routine radiological procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist in radiological procedures such as General Duty, Mobile, Fluoroscopy, OR, Central Line Placements, and Pacemaker Insertions.
  • Assist and relieve senior X-Ray Technologists and Charge Technologists in areas such as on-call and CT.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized school of Medical Imaging Technology.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous related pediatric experience.
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS.

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity.
  • Stands and moves about during most of the working day.
  • Bends, reaches, and lifts and carries for short distances, materials or accessory equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • At times may be required to push or pull heavy equipment.
  • Lifts and positions patients, some of whom are in a state of unconsciousness.
  • Exposed to radiation (within acceptable limits) and to disagreeable elements such as contagious disease, anaesthetic gases, etc.
  • Exposed to extreme patient injuries.
