Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and assisting radiologists and other physicians in the performance of computed tomography scans.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist in the performance of CT scans, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.
- Assist with the orientation of registered technologists and participate in the student teaching program.
- Perform assigned area functions and other related duties as directed.
Requirements
- Minimum of one-year Radiology experience required.
- CT experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging Technology.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists certification exam (CAMRT).
- Successful completion of the CAMRT's CTIC Course required.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting.
- Must demonstrate the use of safe and effective body mechanics while working with clients.
- Must be able to safely transfer large and/or heavy clients who may have limited or no weight bearing capabilities.
