Job Summary

CBS Parts Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supervisor, Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our purchasing and inventory department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management
    • Develop and implement purchasing plans to prioritize and organize tasks to accomplish work
    • Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including inventory control and management
    • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Inventory Control and Management
    • Organize and maintain inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
    • Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and train purchasing and inventory clerks to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
    • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, purchasing activities, and other relevant metrics
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration or supply chain management
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a retail or wholesale environment
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Partsperson Red Seal Certificate
