About the Role

CBS Parts Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and inventory functions of our retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective purchasing and inventory strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
  • Operational Logistics: Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including coordinating activities with other work units or departments.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports on purchasing and inventory activities, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train purchasing and inventory clerks to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inventory Control: Organize and maintain inventory levels, and implement effective inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  • Supply Chain Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration or supply chain management.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.
  • Certifications: Partsperson Red Seal Certificate.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in inventory control software, purchasing software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Language: English.
