CBS Parts Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and inventory management functions of our retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet business needs
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on purchasing and inventory performance
  • Train and supervise purchasing and inventory clerks to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including tracking and reporting on inventory levels
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or supply chain management
  • 5 years or more of experience in purchasing and inventory management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Partsperson Red Seal Certificate
  • Proficiency in inventory control software, purchasing software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, and MS Windows
  • Criminal record check
