Mainline Excavator Operator Job Description

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled Mainline Excavator Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators and graders.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and secure special attachments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and execute high-volume production.
  • Fine grade and finish surfaces to meet project specifications.
  • Assist other operators, labourers, and trades as needed.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mainline operator or equivalent experience.
  • CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications.
  • Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Reliable means of transportation.
  • Proficient English language skills.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent.
