Excavator Operator/Labourer

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator/Labourer to join our team at Alpha Better Landscaping. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including excavators, and performing various labourer tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate excavators, including CAT 308C, CAT 320 DLL, and Case CX210, to perform excavations and other tasks.
- Perform pre-operational and hazard assessment checks on equipment and job sites.
- Ensure grading, sloping, and trenching are done to the proper depth and grade.
- Drive trucks and trailers to move equipment between project locations.
- Conduct work in accordance with OH&S requirements.
- Observe and note the condition of excavator equipment to ensure standards are met and problems are corrected.
- Assist with labourer tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs, as needed.
- 1-2 years of experience operating an excavator.
- Class 5 driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience and a reliable vehicle.
- Must possess a clean driver abstract and the ability to drive trucks and trailers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
- Calculate weight, distance, volume, and other measurements related to excavating.
