Mainline Excavator Operator

Mainline Excavator Operators are key members of our team at Golderado Contracting Corp, responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment to ensure efficient and safe project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, graders, and other machinery.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and secure special attachments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and execute high-volume production tasks.
  • Fine grade and finish surfaces to meet project specifications.
  • Assist other operators, labourers, and trades as required.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mainline operator or equivalent experience is required.
  • CSTS-09, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications are mandatory.
  • Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills are essential.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
