About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Inpatient Psychiatry Unit in Langley, BC. This is a Relief Full Time position that requires strong clinical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with psychiatric needs
  • Participate in and support the total therapeutic program of the unit
  • Collect information through observation, communication, and physical assessment to inform nursing decisions
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Ability to complete initial and ongoing mental health and substance use client assessments
  • Counselling and group facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of legislation and government policies related to mental health practices
