Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor

A-1 Cash and Carry is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team. As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of computer equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and optimize inventory management.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff to support inventory management operations.
  • Train workers in duties and policies related to inventory management.
  • Arrange training for staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting performance expectations.
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support inventory management operations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure smooth inventory management.
Work Environment:

A-1 Cash and Carry is a fast-paced retail business with a warehouse and wholesaler operations. As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and heavy loads. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Organized and able to work in a team environment.
