Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead our warehouse team and oversee the company's inventory management processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of warehouse coordinators and oversee the company's inventory management processes.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory records, conduct inventory counts, and analyze inventory data.
- Train warehouse team members on inventory management procedures and best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of all inventories, including cycle and year-end counts.
- Implement root-cause fixes for inventory issues and ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures.
- Run and reconcile inventory valuation reports across all warehouses.
- Examine supply levels and raw materials to determine shortages through system and physical counts.
- Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement process improvements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound loads between the main warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse.
- Post inventory adjustments in the SAP system.
- Assist with system implementations and integrations.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including prior supervisory experience.
- A proactive leader willing to bring forward new ideas and foster innovation within the team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage teams and cross-functional leaders.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Team-oriented and able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SAP is highly preferred; experience with Batch-Master is an asset.
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to support the business with flexible schedules.
