About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at Saint John Regional Hospital. As an Anesthesiologist with Horizon Health Network, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a talented team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia services in the operating room
  • Conduct rounds on patients
  • Consult with hospital-based patients as requested by attending staff
  • Participate in teaching other members of health professions in subjects related to anesthesiology
  • Organize on-site continuing medical education (CME) and participate in teaching rounds
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to provide excellent patient care

Requirements:

  • Medical degree required
  • Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as Specialist in Anesthesiology
  • Fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia and certification in perioperative trans-esophageal echocardiography is an asset
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
  • Proficiency in English
