Job DescriptionHorizon Health Network seeks a skilled Hospitalist Physician to provide comprehensive inpatient care to family medicine patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care to hospitalized patients, including optimizing admission orders, ordering treatment and investigative modalities, and discharge planning. They will also be expected to participate in physician meetings and team huddles, and contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Medical Degree from a recognized medical school
- Valid license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
- Member in good standing with the College of Family Physicians of Canada, with certification or actively pursuing certification
- Current malpractice insurance from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. They will be required to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals.
