Psychiatrist - Mental Health Professional for Horizon Health Network

Horizon Health Network, a leading healthcare provider in New Brunswick, Canada, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join its team at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Overview:
The successful candidate will provide both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric services, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with serious mental illnesses. A strong background in delivering community-based care to individuals with psychotic illnesses is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Teach medical students, psychiatry residents, and family medicine residents as part of the hospital's academic program
Requirements:
- A medical degree from a recognized institution
- Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent qualifications in Psychiatry
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
