Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef and Kitchen Manager to join our team at Alberta Inc. O/A The Chopped Leaf.

Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Cost Management: Determine the size of food portions and estimate costs to ensure profitability.
  • Kitchen Operations: Plan menus, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, and inspect kitchen and food service areas.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventories and Supplies: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory, and record food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Languages: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance and retirement savings plan.
