Catering Chef

Do you have a passion for great food? Do you enjoy being a part of celebrations and festive events? Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, is looking for an energetic and food-loving individual to join the Catering by Freson Bros. team as a Catering Chef.

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- 2+ years of experience as a prep cook or line cook
- A focus on creating an exceptional customer experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Can prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work evening and weekend shifts at event locations
- Class 5 Driver’s License or transportation within the Greater Edmonton area

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Cook and prepare a variety of food dishes according to production guidelines, standardized recipes, and customer requirements
- Properly store food for transportation by adhering to food safety policies and company procedures
- Creatively display dishes at catering events
- Set-up, execute, and take down necessary equipment for events
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
- Actively participate in creating a welcoming and productive work environment
- Embrace and champion the use of real ingredients to produce real food
- Engage with customers and answer questions about our catering programs

**Position Details**:

- Position Type: Part-Time, Casual | Full-Time, Permanent
- Location: Metro-Edmonton (60%), Rural Alberta (40%)
- Wage: $18.00 - $25.00 / hour
