About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our HVAC-R business development efforts in the Ottawa region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and developing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilize and develop sales teams to achieve business objectives in the Ottawa territory
  • Ensure the evolution of sales team performance and commitments
  • Create and execute sales growth plans aligned with the company's strategic initiatives
  • Ensure the execution of standard sales processes, including prospecting, qualification, design, bidding strategies, follow-up, closing, management, operations, and after-sales
  • Promote the product ecosystem to create opportunities and competitive advantages
  • Identify new customers, establish new relationships, and develop new markets
  • Manage existing customer accounts and have preferred relationships with senior executives
  • Implement stakeholder knowledge development plans on products, systems, industry trends, and developments
  • Maintain and improve relationships with manufacturers
  • Resolve or escalate issues with manufacturers and address sensitive matters with customers
  • Create and maintain synergies with the distribution group to generate cross-selling opportunities and strategic advantages
  • Promote, apply, and actively participate in process improvement initiatives. Manage and audit quality processes.
  • Promote, apply, and actively participate in data collection initiatives to generate accurate business information and key performance indicators
Requirements
  • Over 10 years of sales experience in the HVAC-R field
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of French and English languages (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite and experience with CRM/ERP systems
  • Superior negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, auditory, written and presentation skills
