About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Pur & Simple as a Kitchen Helper. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food quantities used, ensuring efficient inventory management and minimizing waste.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to the highest standards, adhering to our quality control procedures.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Stock Management: Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients, ensuring an adequate supply of food for our customers.
  • Food Packaging: Package take-out food efficiently and neatly, maintaining our high standards of presentation.
  • Food Portioning: Portion and wrap foods accurately, ensuring consistency and quality in our food offerings.
  • Appliance Operation: Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, adhering to our safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn is essential, as we provide on-the-job training to ensure your success in this position.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 36 hours per week, providing a stable and predictable work schedule.
