Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at Mirchi Tandoor. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including South Indian, East Indian, and International cuisine, using fresh ingredients and adhering to strict food safety guidelines.
- Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are in good working order and that inventory levels are properly managed.
- Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor junior staff members in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Supply Chain Management: Order and manage the procurement of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in stock.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, and that all health and safety regulations are met.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Work Setting: This role is based in an urban area, with public transportation available.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for a reliable and team-oriented individual who is able to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: This is a permanent, full-time role with a guaranteed 35-40 hours of work per week.
- English Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
