Flight Data Monitoring Analyst

At Air Transat, we are committed to providing a safe and reliable flying experience for our passengers. As a Flight Data Monitoring Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our flights by analyzing and interpreting flight data.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the improvement of flight safety by analyzing and interpreting flight data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Operations and Technical Teams to ensure that flight data is accurately collected and analyzed.
  • Participate in C-CAST meetings and activities to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze exceedances, establish risk levels, and coordinate actions with the gatekeepers to ensure that safety protocols are followed.
  • Carry out statistical analysis of flight data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in investigations requiring flight data analysis and provide expert advice on safety protocols.
  • Support Safety Officers in the processing of safety reports, including data entry, investigation, risk assessment, and corrective action follow-up.
Qualifications
  • University diploma in a related field such as Aviation Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in aviation, including at least three years in Flight Operations.
  • Flight data analysis experience is essential.
  • Pilot's Licence is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and statistical abilities.
  • Oral and written proficiency in both French and English.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
