We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Alaska Highway Truck & Towing. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our equipment and providing exceptional service to our customers.

About the Role

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary, with an estimated annual compensation of $65,000 - $80,000 based on industry standards and location factors.

The successful candidate will have experience working with heavy equipment, including trucks and towing vehicles. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing and replacing parts as needed, and ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Repair and replace parts as needed, including hydraulic and transmission fluids
  • Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed
  • Provide on-site services, including installing replacement mufflers and exhaust pipes
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
