At Corporation Urgences Santé, we are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medical Dispatcher to join our team. As an Emergency Medical Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in responding to emergency calls and providing critical care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and sort emergency calls using classification protocols and procedures.
  • Work in a highly technological environment, utilizing advanced communication systems to respond to emergency situations.
  • Accompany callers to provide emergency care and support while waiting for emergency resources to arrive.
  • Collaborate with paramedics and other emergency partners to respond to emergency situations.
  • Assign the appropriate vehicle to the intervention site and direct it to the hospital center best suited to the patient's needs.
  • Participate in the deployment of emergency vehicles to minimize response times and ensure efficient emergency response.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent from a recognized school.
  • Postsecondary studies in social work, public safety, psychology, intervention, or a related field in healthcare and prehospital care.
  • One year of experience in customer service, emergency communications, public safety, transport dispatch, or the healthcare sector.
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
  • Availability to work full-time, including day, evening, and night shifts.
