Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Manager to lead our project team in delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project MEP staff, ensuring conformance to contract documents, and providing constructability and value engineering reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project MEP staff to ensure conformance to contract documents and project MEP scopes from conception to turnover.
  • Support project team through preconstruction activities to ensure consistency with project procurement model.
  • Recommend and implement alternate procurement strategies to suit project requirements.
  • Provide planning capabilities, including interface and risk management, to MEP staff, Project Managers, and Superintendents for schedule development.
  • Implement management processes for mechanical and electrical RFI's, shop drawings, long lead items, and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements.
  • Manage risk associated with MEP scopes utilizing knowledge of operational best practices and the owner's project requirements.
  • Assist in development of overall project budget and schedule, evaluation of tender packages and pricing, forecasting, and monitoring project cash flows.
  • Contract & scope development, evaluation, and identification of scope gaps, assessment, and mediation.
  • Support Project Commissioning Authority and define roles and responsibility within construction team as it pertains to commissioning processes.
  • Establish clear communication between Clients, Consultants, and Canada-wide departments, along with proper protocols for issue identification and resolution.
  • Actively work with and support project ICAT staff in system development, implementation, commissioning, and integration to meet project requirements.
Requirements
  • Construction/engineering related degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience.
  • P3 Design Build experience.
  • Working knowledge of current mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to proactively identify and document problems/conflicts and effectively coach, manage, and facilitate resolution.
