We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Project Manager to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading the MEP staff and ensuring the successful delivery of MEP scopes on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MEP staff to ensure conformance to contract documents and project requirements.
  • Support the project team through preconstruction activities to ensure consistency with project procurement models.
  • Recommend and implement alternate procurement strategies to suit project requirements.
  • Provide constructability and value engineering reviews to optimize project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement planning capabilities, including interface and risk management, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide direction and guidance to the project team on MEP construction processes and procedures.
  • Implement management processes for mechanical and electrical RFIs, shop drawings, long lead items, and project completion requirements.
  • Manage risk associated with MEP scopes, utilizing knowledge of operational best practices and project requirements.
  • Assist in the development of overall project budgets and schedules, evaluation of tender packages, and forecasting and monitoring project cash flows.
  • Contract and scope development, evaluation, and identification of scope gaps, assessment, and mediation.
  • Support the Project Commissioning Authority and define roles and responsibilities within the construction team.
  • Establish clear communication protocols between clients, consultants, and departments, and identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with the project ICAT staff to develop, implement, commission, and integrate systems to meet project requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Construction or engineering-related degree or equivalent working experience.
    • Minimum 15 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience.
    • P3 Design Build experience.
    • Working knowledge of current mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
    • Ability to proactively identify and document problems/conflicts and effectively coach, manage, and facilitate resolution.
