Director of Care Job Description

At Tullamore Care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Care to lead our clinical team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of clinical professionals to provide nursing duties and ensure clinical excellence in the care community.
  • Monitor and ensure clinical care processes are delivered according to individual plans of care for residents.
  • Develop and implement key clinical programs, such as falls prevention, skin and wound care, continence care, and pain management.
  • Collaborate with clinical partners on issues related to infection control and coordinate monitoring of all activities at the care community.
  • Meet regulatory compliance and participate in committees as outlined in the terms of reference and area of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent post-diploma education.
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting.
