Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Host to join our team at Biff's Bistro. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Your warm and welcoming presence will make our guests feel at ease, ensuring they have a memorable experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage guest flow efficiently, maximizing seating capacity and communicating effectively with the Front of House team.
  • Escort guests to their tables, engaging them in friendly conversation and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Accurately take reservations over the phone and in person, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas, ensuring a polished and professional atmosphere.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of table numbers and maintain awareness of each section in the restaurant, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar position for at least 6 months, demonstrating a strong understanding of hospitality principles.
  • High attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our guests.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, with restaurant experience considered an asset.
  • Full availability, with a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.
