At Auberge du Pommier, we seek a charismatic Host who embodies our commitment to outstanding guest experiences. As our Host – Guest Experience Ambassador, you will create lasting impressions with every guest interaction, ensuring seamless transitions from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage guest flow to optimize seating capacity and minimize wait times.
  • Communicate with the Front of House Management Team, Servers, Bartenders, and Co-Workers to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
  • Escorting guests to their tables, engaging them in conversation, and seating them with a warm smile.
  • Accurately taking reservations and updating guest status in Open Table.
  • Developing a briefing sheet before each shift to inform Co-Workers of upcoming events and notable guests.
  • Knowledge of the restaurant's trade area, including local attractions and directions.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas.
  • Familiarity with all table numbers and awareness of which Servers are in each section.
  • Filling out detailed special request forms for birthdays, anniversaries, and notable events.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the washrooms by conducting regular checks during shifts.
  • Following all food safety standards and protocols.

Requirements

  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professional urgency and momentum.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, with restaurant experience considered an asset.
