Secure Document Destruction Specialist

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering industry-leading levels of service to clients while ensuring the secure destruction of confidential information. This involves transporting supplies and materials safely and efficiently, adhering to company policy and local/federal laws.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information
- Conduct pre/post-trip checks, driver check-in on assigned truck, prior to leaving or closing for the day
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize injury risk and equipment damage
- Comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service
- Maintain logs when applicable
- Ensure high security standards when emptying consoles and/or collection totes by retrieving documents and securing containers
- Manage assigned routes to collect and service customers' confidential material in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle and respond to customer problems and inquiries effectively
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle or box truck (required)
- Commercial Driver's License Required: Class 3 with airbrakes and an excellent driving record from the province of Nova Scotia
- Driver's abstract up to date
- Availability for overnight travel at least twice a month
Compensation Package:
Competitive salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, life insurance, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick time, RRSP matching.
