Human Resources Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team at Days Inn Vancouver Airport. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting job notices, and coordinating the selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and prepare job notices and advertisements.
- Collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
- Review candidate inventories, contact potential applicants to arrange interviews, and recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions.
- Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates, and notify applicants of results of the selection process and prepare job offers.
- Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, and negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes.
- Determine eligibility to entitlements, arrange staff training, and supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties.
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience an asset.
Work Environment:
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
