Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience in haemodialysis to work with our multidisciplinary team. As a Haemodialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients receiving haemodialysis treatment, including assessing their needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Key Responsibilities- Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing laboratory tests
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans, taking into account patients' physical, emotional, and social needs
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive care
- Participating in on-call rotations to provide emergency care outside regular working hours
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to relevant legislation and regulations
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BCLS certification upon hire
- At least one year of acute care experience, preferably in haemodialysis or nephrology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
