About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Coffee Shop Attendant to join our team at ARAMARK Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing specialty drinks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate a cash register/POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs and preferences.
  • Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages according to brand standards.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation.
  • Count, organize, and balance the cash drawer, and make deposits as needed.
  • Adhere to ARAMARK's cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including setting up and breaking down coffee bars and stations.
  • Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments as needed.
  • FOLLOW health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.

Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.
  • Prior cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred.
  • BASIC math and counting skills are required.
  • You must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • You must follow required dress code as assigned.
  • You must be able to read and communicate in English and follow recipes.

This role may have physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. You may also be required to wear uniforms and/or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Estimated Salary Range: $15-$20 per hour based on location and experience.
